Why I Started This Single Parent Travel Blog
This travel blog is where I share what works, what flops, and why the journey is always worth it. From forgotten stuffed animals to breakthrough bonding moments, every trip tells a story — sometimes hilarious, sometimes chaotic, always worth remembering.
As a dad balancing custody schedules, a creative business, and parenting on the go, I wanted a place to connect with others doing the same. Whether it’s navigating logistics or hunting down the weirdest roadside attraction, this blog is a reminder that making memories doesn’t require perfection — just a little planning and a lot of keeping your options open.
Why I Travel (and Why It’s Changing)
Being a single dad means juggling school calendars, custody schedules, and carry-ons. This blog is my way of sharing what works, what flops, and why it’s all still worth it.
Life changes fast — aging parents, growing kids, and shifting priorities often mean reevaluating how we approach traveling with kids and embracing more flexible family travel planning.
That’s why I’m reinventing myself — shifting from nonstop festival vending to becoming a travel agent. Basically, I’m turning into the dad who plans the trip and finds the weirdest roadside attraction along the way. Whether I’m on the road with my kids (Cate, 14, camera queen; Coen, 8, snack boss) or solo at a show, I’m all about making the miles count.
